MATEN
Maten, composed of Samuel Pinette, Mathieu Mckenzie, and Kim Fontaine, is an Innu band from Quebec’s North Shore, rooted between the banks of the St. Lawrence River and the boreal forest.
Maten is regarded as the successor to Kashtin and, like the renowned band, hails from Uashat-Maliotenam near Sept-Îles.
